Nicholas Henin was captured by jihadists while working in Syria last year, spending nine months in a cramped cell alongside (left, from top) British hostages David Haines and Alan Henning and (right from top) the American hostages Steven Sotloff and James Foley.
All of them are now dead, having been murdered by ISIS, each in brutal beheading videos. Despite being released by the terror group in April, Henin says he still does not feel truly free of the horrors of his time in captivity, adding that news of the murder of former cellmates - men he came to look upon as friends - brings back 'brutal' and 'gruesome' memories. The French hostage was working as a journalist in Syria last year when he was kidnapped, and was freed in April this year.
