Armed police shoot two cows DEAD after they escape from city's nature reserve

A helicopter and armed police were deployed to immobilise the three cows, which had escaped from Marston Marsh in Norwich, Norfolk, before running amok yesterday.
Two of the animals were shot in the 'interests of public safety' but a third managed to escape. It sent police on a five hour search and officers were forced to close roads around the city, causing traffic chaos. The cattle are believed to have escaped while being loaded onto a lorry by their owner.
