Lisa Coleman (left) was pronounced dead at 6:23pm today in Huntsville, Texas. She had been on death row for the past eight years, after begin convicted of the 2004 death of her girlfriend's 9-year-old son, Davontae Williams (right). Coleman appeared to be at peace with the execution on Wednesday telling her jailers:
'I'm ready. I know where I'm going. I'm not bitter, just ready'. She is the sixth woman to be executed in Texas since 1982. The last woman put to death was Suzanne Basso on February 5 of this year.
