Three taken to hospital after ambulance collides with car

Three people were hospitalised, including two paramedics, after an ambulance crashed into a wall after colliding with a car.

One of the paramedics is thought to have suffered a broken ankle.
The vehicle was badly damaged but it is hoped it can be put on the road again following repairs.
It was on its way back to the station in Rathfarnham, Dublin, at the time of the accident yesterday morning. Workers later had to demolish a section of the wall on Butterfield Avenue in Rathfarnham where the collision occurred.
It came after an ambulance and a 4x4 collided on Aungier Street, Dublin, earlier last month.
An emergency services spokesman said, "we're having a bad month" but added that there had not been any accidents in the previous 12 to 18 months.
Meanwhile, gardai in Dublin had a busy day dealing with collisions as officers responded to a crash in Donnybrook.
One of the cars, a year-old Mercedes, had collided with a lamppost, which caused severe damage to its front and left bumper and parts were left strewn around the ground. Gardai had no reports of any injuries from the crash.
