'I thought only people in Africa got HIV,' says mother of three who contracted HIV
Rachel Dilley, 48, from Hertfordshire, told ITV's This Morning that she hadn't realised at the time that 'white people had ever had HIV'
- An attitude described by host Philip Scofield as 'extremely naive'. Within a few months, her new relationship was over - and shortly afterwards she began to feel unwell. 'I had swollen glands, a sore throat, a temperature and couldn't eat properly,' she recalled. 'It was like a really severe bout of the flu.'
