UPDATED A major search and rescue operation is underway in the South China Sea today after Malaysia Airline flight MH307 disappeared off the coast of Vietnam.
The Boeing 777 took off from Kuala Lumpur and was due to arrive in Beijing six hours later. But just two hours into the flight it lost radar contact with air traffic controllers.
