In Dublin, thousands of people living in Dundrum and Rathfarnham are without electricity this evening.
ESB crews are working to repair a fault, also affecting the Ballyboden, Churchdown, Stillorgan areas.
It is not known if the power outage has been caused by the stormy weather.
