A woman named Bridget Osawaru has died in the hand of her kidnappers in Edo State.

The 43-year-old nurse who was abducted at her house off Sapele Road in Benin city on Tuesday December 10, 2013 has been found dead.
The kidnappers contacted her family and a ransom of 1.5 million naira was paid to secure her release 3 days after her abduction.
Bridget’s family hope was shattered when the kidnappers ordered them to pick her up at Okhuahie hill along Benin-Asaba expressway.
On getting there, they saw the dead body of Bridget with severe stab wounds.
Her case has been transferred to the homicide section at the State Police headquarters.
Kidnapping in Edo state carries the maximum death penalty.
Living in Nigeria is very hazardous nowadays as exemplified in the abduction and eventual murdering of this innocent soul!
May her soul rest in peace.
