On Tuesday August 19th, a Nigerian soldier spoke with the BBC explaining why himself and some other soldiers refused the order from their superiors to go fight Boko Haram insurgents. He alleged that they were not provided good weapons and ammunition and so gave Boko Haram the upper hand during any battle because the militants are more well equipped (read that here).

Police said Jaycee and another man found in his home, Taiwanese movie star Kai Ko, 23, tested positive for marijuana and admitted using the drug. 

NFF Building In Abuja Gutted By Fire.

A huge fire ripped through the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) building in the capital Abuja on Wednesday.

Flames were spotted coming out of the building at about 1000 local time and it took fire fighters almost two hours to extinguish the blaze.

Nigerian Fire Service official Eyo Ime said it is suspected an electrical fault caused the fire.
