EFCC chairman accused of diverting N1trillion loot recovered from corrupt politicians


The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Lamorde, has been accused of diverting over N1tn recovered from corrupt politicians who forfeited their loots. A man named George Uboh recently petitioned the Senate, accusing the chairman of the anti-graft agency of diverting money recovered from corrupt politicians including former Governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha; and ex-Inspector-General of Police, Tafa Balogun.

Lagos House of Assembly Chief Matron found dead in office


The Chief Matron of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mrs. Caroline Oriola, who had been missing since Saturday has been found dead in her office.

Oriola was found dead this morning by a cleaner who had resumed work to clean the clinic found her corpse.

Ex- President Jonathan’s Village Otuoke Laments Water Scarcity



The Otuoke community in Bayelsa State – former President Goodluck Jonathan’s hometown – is lamenting the scarcity of portable water.
Chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC), Otuoke in Ogbia Local Government Area, Mr. Elijah Ateki, at the weekend bemoaned the scarcity of water in the area.

A YOUNG woman who fell from a balcony at a nightclub may never walk again, her family fears.

Ciara O'Brien (18) fell from a flat roof at the Moorings nightclub on Market Street.

Ciara O’Brien (18) was airlifted from Cork University Hospital for surgery at the spinal injury unit in the Mater Hospital in Dublin after the accident in Kinsale, Co Cork,  in the early hours of Saturday.
Her uncle, John O’Mahony, has revealed that she has no feeling in her legs.
“The feeling might not come back at all,” he said.
“Her spinal cord wasn’t severed but it has been damaged.

Obat Oil’s Mother In-Law Kidnapped


Mrs Omogbene Adeborile, 65, the the mother-in-law to Oba Fredrick Obateru-Akinruntan, the Olugbo of Ugboland, has been kidnapped in Igbotako, Ondo State. Adeborile was abducted on Saturday at her residence in Igbotako, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State at about 10:00 p.m.
