Jimmy Carter reveals he has liver cancer that has spread

The former president plans to undergo treatment at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia. Carter said in a statement issued Wednesday afternoon that doctors discovered during a recent surgery on his liver that the cancer had spread to other parts of his body.
