A family has been driven out of their home by thugs who sprayed sickening racist graffiti over their Dublin house.

The cowardly perpetrators wrote ‘blacks out’ in huge letters across the front of the family’s home in Clondalkin.
A mother and her two children were inside the house during the late night attack and have now moved out.
“I can never live in the house again. We lived there for six years but I can’t let my children live there anymore,” said Rebecca (39).
The attack happened shortly after midnight on Sunday.
Spray-painted abuse covered the front wall of the house as well as the downstairs windows and the front door.
The attack followed two separate incidents in recent weeks when all four wheels on the family car were punctured.
Disgusting
Rebecca, who did not want to give her surname, had been forced to hide the family car elsewhere.
However, the concerned local community joined together to clean off the disgusting graffiti yesterday.
Residents attended a meeting shortly after the attack to show solidarity with the well-respected family and to decide on ways they could support them.
The graffiti was removed but the dread remained for Rebecca, who said that she can never move back in.
“I had to send my children to stay with a friend in Donegal. It’s been terrible,” she said.
The two children are distraught after the incident.
“They said they were not going to the ‘horrible house’, ‘the scary movie house’,” she said.
“I would be glad to meet whoever did this and ask them why.
“I don’t hold anything against anybody because it is unwise to do so. The right thing is to confront them and to sort out the issues.
“I’m not angry because I don’t want to come to that kind of level. I don’t want my kids to grow up with that mentality,” she added.
Local People Before Profit Councillor Gino Kenny helped the residents to organise the clean-up of Rebecca’s house.
“It’s horrible. This act must be utterly condemned,” he said.
“This racist attack is an attack on the whole estate, the whole of Clondalkin and the whole country.
“I hope the family don’t leave because then the scumbags have won,” he added.
A large number of neighbours and residents said they held the family in great affection, describing Rebecca as a kind lady who looked after elderly people.
“Evil people did this to a lovely woman and two little children. God bless the family,” said one neighbour.
