Unarmed US Marines foil 'terrorist attack' onboard high-speed train

U.S Marines 'take down' armed Moroccan gunman onboard a French train

These are the dramatic scenes as two U.S. Marines wrestled with a crazed gunman on board a high-speed train between Amsterdam and Paris who started shooting indescriminately with a Kalashnikov AK47 assault rifle.
The Marines forced the man to the ground and disarmed him as the train passed near Arras, northern France. The man was detained and handed over to French authorities. French police recovered at least six magazines full of ammunition holding almost 200 rounds (left). The gunman is believed to be a 26-year-old Moroccan who is thought to have been known to French security services. The man is believed to have borded the train, which had more than 550 passengers, in Brussels and waited until it crossed the French border before striking. One of the hero Marines is understood to have been critically wounded.
