Sky Sports star Rachel Wyse 'dating Galway hurling hotshot Joe Canning'

The Tribesman is said to be 'absolutely smitten' with the blonde bombshell presenter

Sky Sports presenter Rachel Wyse is believed to have enjoyed a number of dates with hurling hotshot Joe Canning.
The blonde star, who fronts the GAA coverage, was first linked to the Galway hurler late last year.
Speculation is growing they have been building up a close friendship for months.
However, the fiercely-private pair have been refusing to give away any details to even their closest pals.

Sources close to Portumna hurler Joe, 26, told the Irish Mirror he’s “absolutely smitten” with Dubliner Rachel and they plan to make things official once the Championship ends.
One pal revealed: “We’ve been asking him for months as it’s clear they’re close but Joe is very private and so is Rachel by all accounts. She pops up in his Snapchats and she was out in his company after Galway beat Cork last month.
“So apparently they’re waiting until after the Championship is over to make things official.
“Joe has always kept himself to himself and even when the hurling lads slag him in the Whatsapp group he doesn’t react so it’s all been very hush-hush.
“But those closest to him say he’s absolutely smitten and why wouldn’t he be?
“She’s drop dead gorgeous and she’s into sport so she’s the dream woman.”
The Galway hurlers will play reigning champions Kilkenny in the All-Ireland final on September 6 after their thrilling semi-final win over Tipperary last Sunday.
Joe is one of the Tribesmen’s most talented hurlers and has been on fire since returning to the team after suffering a broken finger this year.
Meanwhile, Rachel, 30, has had a busy few months splitting her time between Dublin and London, where she fronts Sky’s GAA coverage.
Only last month, the former showjumper insisted she was far too busy for love.
But she has struck up a close friendship with Joe and friends say they’re happy to see how things go.
One revealed: “They’re both incredibly busy people and then obviously she’s based in London so it won’t be an easy one.”
Speaking to the Irish Mirror last March, Rachel, who went out with Irish showjumping star Cian O’Connor for five years, said she had yet to find a man who kept her in check.
She revealed: “If someone comes along and it works, great, but that person hasn’t so I’m much happier single instead of going out with someone for the sake of it.
“I wouldn’t say I’m feisty but I guess if a guy came along I’d hope I’d meet my match in somebody.”
And she opened up about her ideal man, saying: “I guess I’m drawn to someone a little bit different and someone with a strong personality who can keep me in line. Nobody has managed to yet. I’ve yet to meet a man who’ll keep me in check.”
Rachel quit her Blackrock home for London in 2010 after she was snapped up by Sky Sports. And it seems she won’t be moving home anytime soon as she signed a contract which will keep her at the sports giant until at least 2017.
The Mirror made several attempts to contact both Mr Canning and Ms Wyse but calls weren’t returned.
