Desperate Chinese investors KIDNAP an exchange boss to get their money back
Cheated Chinese investors have raided a hotel, kidnapped a rich businessman and handed him over to local police, reports said. Hundreds of angry vigilantes swarmed a luxury Shanghai hotel and seized Fanya founder Shan Jiuliang as he checked out at dawn on Saturday morning, according to the Financial Times.
Pictures uploaded to social media website Weibo show Mr Jiuliang being heckled by investors (right), splayed across the hotel floor (bottom left) and being bundled into a waiting vehicle, which carted him to the nearest police station. Fanya's issues have reportedly contributed to recent turbulence in the Chinese economy, which has rattled global financial markets.
