Women's World Cup England beat Germany... with a PENALTY

England Women's World Cup team win unprecedented bronze medal at World Cup

Having lost a heartbreaking semi-final to Japan, England ended their World Cup campaign in Canada triumphant, defeating favourites Germany in Edmonton.
After a goalless draw over the 90 minutes, England were handed a penalty in the 108th minute after Germany defender Tabea Kemme had dragged down Lianne Sanderson in the area, and Fara Williams who was successful from the penalty spot against Colombia and Japan, made no mistake sending German goalkeeper Nadine Angerer the wrong way, cue jubilant celebrations on the England bench.
