Nigerians, Albanians, and Romanians have topped the list of countries that traffic sex workers to the United Kingdom, the Home Office has revealed after 11 people were sentenced on Thursday for trafficking sex workers.
According to a report by Thomson Reuters Foundation up to 13,000 victims of modern slavery in Britain are forced to work in factories and farms, sold for sex in brothels or kept in domestic servitude, among other forms of slavery, according to the Home Office (interior ministry). Most come from Albania, Nigeria and Romania.
