Magdelena Luczak, 29, (pictured above, right) who was jailed for a minimum of 30 years for the murder of four-year-old son Daniel Pelka (pictured above, left), has been found dead at HMP Foston Hall, Derbyshire.
The Ministry of Justice said that Luczak was found unresponsive in her prison cell this morning and pronounced dead at the scene. She was jailed, along with Daniel's stepfather Mariusz Krezolek, 34, after being convicted of the child's murder. Daniel was beaten to death by the pair following years of starvation and mistreatment in March 2012.
