What Prince Harry told cheeky blonde Australian when she asked him to marry her...
It was the moment Sydney university student Victoria McRae had been waiting for - the opportunity to ask for Prince Harry's hand in marriage.
But rather than accepting the usual discrete peck on the cheek, the bubbly young royal fan (left, and centre with Harry) took the opportunity to lean in and lock lips with the blushing prince. 'Can I think about it?' the Prince replied to her proposal (inset). The relaxed royal, who is leaving for New Zealand on Saturday after a month's secondment with the Australian Defence Force, chatted with the crowd and regretted not being able to 'hug everybody.' Prince Harry then headed to Macquarie University Clinic to visit British officer Lt Ali Spearing, who is in Australia for specialist treatment to be fitted with prosthetics after he lost both legs while on deployment in Afghanistan in 2011. After his visit to New Zealand, Harry will return to the UK where he will meet his new niece Charlotte for the first time. 'I've been given a lot of cuddly toys from this morning to give to her,' he said.
