Siobhan O'Dell, from North Carolina, was sent a email by Duke University telling her she had failed to earn a place, but refusing to take no for an answer, she sent her own rejection letter back. In a spoof of the standard email format, she told the admissions office that 'despite Duke's outstanding success in rejecting previous applicants' she would be unable to accept their rejection, adding 'therefore, I will be attending Duke University's 2015 freshmen class'
