The Indian Ocean island that is home to a community who have lived there for 60,000 years...

Indian Ocean island is home to Sentinelese community who kill outsiders

When they do interact with outsiders, it usually involves violence - the indigenous Sentinelese tribe killed two men who were fishing illegally in 2006 and have been known to fire arrows (inset) at low-flying planes or helicopters on reconnaissance missions.
Untouched by modern civilisation, very little is known about the their language, rituals and the Andaman island they call home (bottom right). It appears it will stay that way, with India's government abandoning attempts to establish contact and implementing a three-mile exclusion zone around the island in the Indian Ocean (top right) to protect the tribe.
