Officers made the discovery as they carried out an extensive search of a farm north of Glasgow, on the outskirts of Milngavie.
A spokesman said the remains were believed to be that off the 24-year-old (pictured left) who was last seen on Sunday morning. They added that formal identification was yet to take place but that Miss Buckley's family had been informed. The news came as police announced in the earlier hours of Thursday morning that a 21-year-old was arrested in connection with her death. Last night, sniffer dogs, forensic teams and specialist divers moved their search to woodlands near High Craigton Farm near Bearsden (middle), between Glasgow and Drymen (shown in map, inset), as they followed a 'definite line of enquiry'.
