Rehana Begum Islam, from Enfield, north London, abandoned her husband (pictured with their children, whose identities are protected) of 14 years and took a flight from Heathrow Airport to Istanbul with her two children before crossing the border into Syria.
She is believed to have been helped by Syrian Mohammed al-Rashed, who was arrested last week on suspicion of getting three east London schoolgirls - Shamima Begum, 15, Kadiza Sultana, 16, and Amira Abase, 15 - across the border. Mrs Islam's details were found on al-Rashed's laptop - showing she and her children have been with ISIS fanatics for five weeks. Her devastated husband Azizul, 36, said: 'It's really hard for me. I haven't seen my kids for more than one month. My question is why did she go there?'
