How did they survive? Miracle of the 15 passengers - including a toddler
So far 15 survivors have been pulled from the wreckage of the plane, as more than 1,000 rescuers scramble to try and save people trapped in the aircraft which crashed into the Keeling River in the capital city of Taipei.
Dramatic footage captured the moment the jet came down (centre), clipping a motorway and then plunging into the water. Rescuers were able to pluck a two-year-old boy to safety (top right) while other survivors, including a woman with a bloodied face (left) were dragged from the water in shock. A salvage operation is underway (bottom right) to secure the wreckage of TransAsia flight GE235 which crashed just three minutes after it took off from Taipei airport.
