A Police Corporal on Thursday night in Bauchi, has shot dead the Commanding Officer 10, Police Mobil Force (PMF) Bauchi, Superintendent Chris Eza.
The killing of the Superintendent was confirmed in a statement released by the Police Command’s PublicRelations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed today.
“On the 26/2/2015 at about 23:20hrs, the Commanding Officer, 10 PMF Bauchi, SP Chris L Eza, was shot by a police corporal while on routine visit at a Stop and Search point along Ahmadu Bello way, Bauchi.”
“Victim was rushed to ATBU Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, where he was certified dead by a Medical Doctor and corpse deposited at the mortuary for postmortem examination.
“Scene was visited by the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Mohammed and his management team.
“Meanwhile, suspect has been arrested and detained, while the Commissioner of Police has ordered a full scale investigation into the matter,” Mohammed said in the statement.
