Raif Badawi was sentenced to 10 years behind bars and 1,000 lashes for writing a blog the Saudi government claimed insulted Islam and undermined the regime.
Each Friday, the father-of-three is led out in front of a crowd in Jeddah to receive 50 lashes (pictured left last Friday). But wife Ensaf Haidar, who is living in exile with the couple's young children, hopes international pressure may be able to stop the cruel punishment.
