Millions took to the streets to celebrate a night to remember as the country ushered in 2015 - and some clearly enjoyed the occasion more than others.
In total, the Metropolitan Police said 54 people were arrested in London, including 24 for being drunk and disorderly, five for public order offences and three for sexual offences, during a police operation that involved some 4,000 officers. Ambulance services braced themselves for a busy night, with London Ambulance Service expecting up to 600 calls an hour, operations director Jason Killens said on Twitter.
