Small boy has a gash cut into his head as part of Muslim ceremony commemorating the death of the Prophet's grandson

The child screamed as he was held in place so a Shi'ite Muslim could cut a gash in the boy's head during an Ashura ceremony in Mumbai, India, earlier today.
Rituals at the annual ceremonies include people, including children, whipping and cutting themselves with chains and knives in the street. The annual ceremony is held to commemorate the death of the Prophet Mohammad's grandson who died in battle 1,300 years ago.
