The suspect, 25-year-old Nicolas Salvador, has been charged with murder after widow Palmira Silva, 82, was beheaded on Thursday in Edmonton, north London.
Last night he was previously under armed guard in hospital awaiting questioning as CCTV footage emerged from two hours before the killing which showed him eating in a nearby cafe. The footage shows him getting up and walking out without paying before he returns to settle the bill.
