First picture of man suspected of beheading great-grandmother

Edmonton murder preview

Nicholas Salvadore, 25, right, was today named as the man suspected of murdering popular cafe owner Palmira Silva, 82, left, in her north London garden.
Mrs Silva, who is believed to be of Italian descent, was found dead outside her house in Edmonton yesterday lunchtime. It emerged today that as some police officers chased and cornered the suspected knifeman, others ran down the suburban street, bottom centre, smashing windows and scooping up children to carry them to safety. As forensics officers, inset, scoured the scene, local residents told police how they had seen a man 'cutting the head off a cat' and hacking at roses with a machete as he hopped over garden fences.
