The video shows three boys slapping, punching and kicking the victim, before urinating on him as he lies defenceless on the ground.
The shocking images have sparked an online search among China's internet community, as they try and track down the culprits who carried out the brutal attack. Police and security officials also say they are investigating the footage but have refused to say whether or not the victim - who was pictured with several cuts and bruises on his back and face - is badly hurt.
