Edgar Dart, 56, (bottom left) originally from Devon, was gunned down in front of his family when he tried to remonstrate with three masked and gun-toting intruders in Grand Bahama.
The gang were threatening his teenage son George (pictured top in 2006) and five relatives after bursting into the sprawling property (bottom right) at 7am on Tuesday. As Mr Dart lay dying on the floor, the killers tied the rest of the family up and ransacked the house before fleeing with cash and jewellery.
