Championship side Blackpool sack manager Paul Ince after 11 months in charge

Pastures new: Ince has been axed by the seasiders

Blackpool have sacked manager Paul Ince after just 11 months at the helm.

The former Manchester United and England midfielder was appointed in February 2013, replacing Michael Appleton, and initially appeared to have won over fans of the seaside club.
The Tangerines started the current season well and topped the Championship for a short spell, but have since struggled for form, resulting in Ince's dismissal.
The 46-year-old, who received a five-game stadium ban from the FA earlier in October for an incident involving match officials , was linked with the Sheffield Wednesday job in December.
He leaves Blackpool with a record of 12 wins in 42 matches
