NIKE OSHINOWO Fingered In The Ownership Crisis Rocking Nigeria Centenary Celebration Pageant

According to LBW The present government through the office of the SGF encouraged the impunity of cutting corners by bringing in a surreptitious and unpatriotic manner by bringing the CEO of AOE Events, Miss Nike Oshinowo to take over as the organiser of Miss
 centenary beauty pageant
. The office also resorted to threatening the life of the
young man who is the rightful owner of the centenary pageant. As heard
from a reliable source even Sen Anyim Pius Anyim shamelessly invited this young
man to his office to tell him to go and stop whatever his doing till they finish their own
event or should go and change his project name as if it isn’t public office they are occupying.

Next year 2014 is calculated to mark 100 years of Nigeria's existence as a political entity. One hundred years down the line, millions of Nigerians are still at a loss to understand why and what we should celebrate as a people. But a superlative explaination from the government qaurters cleared the air: a hundred years of political existence of two amalgamated protectorates calls for serious merriment.

For sacrificial efforts were made by so many patriots to avert possibly obvious
disintegration of Nigeria. With this realisation, Nigerians then saw reasons for Nigeria's centenary celebration. All Nigerians who have something to offer to make the centenary project a national event that can glorify and make the country proud in the global arena
came out patriotically to serve and to also bring to fulfillment the inspiring words in our national anthem that the labours of our heroes past shall not be in vain.

One of these patriots who came out with concepts to glamourise Nigeria's centenary project was a young Nigerian whose profile and pedigree in the Entertainment industry and social media speak volume as a reputable and celebrated pageant organiser, Abuja based finest cinematographer, promoter of upcoming artist, publisher event Africa magazine, MD Succex studios and the CEO Succex Multimedia Ltd Mr. Kolade Oludare decided to toe the path of law as he went to the Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment, department of trademark and patent designs to make a search, register and obtain a trademark with the Title: "Miss Centenary Beauty Pageant and Fashion Show".

This young patriotic Nigerian paid into Nigerian coffers all necessary payments as required and known by law. As a seasoned pageant organiser, he didn't stop at that, he went further to Corporate Affairs Commission to also pay into government's account as he specifically registered a name for this particular national event that is designed to positively project Nigeria's image to the international community. This name in the CAC is "Centenary Events and Entertainment. Again, as a responsible citizen who believes in due process, he also wrote for partnership with the office of the secretary to the government of the federation, SGF, Sen Anyim Pius Anyim.

This young Nigerian having done all necessary things needed to make Nigeria proud during the centenary celebration then blew the whistle of participation to attract the attention of Nigerian beautiful girls who are willing to contest. At the verge of the commencement of a national audition in all the six geo-political zones in Nigeria to select the finalists for the grand finale at the centenary celebration, the Nigerian government through the office of the SGF brought in the usual Nigerian style of leadership which has been the bane of retrogression since 1960 -

The tradition of corruption, intimidation, oppression and possible murdering of decent and applausible ideas that can make Nigeria a great country reared its ugly head through the office of the SGF Sen Puis Anyim. This further adds impetus to countless tales of woe emerging from SGF's office about initiatives of young people being rubbished and trampled upon and never to see the light of day.

This leaves no one in doubt as to the lack of transparency and abject exclusion and disregard of Nigerian youths in his office. The present government through the office of the SGF encouraged the impunity of cutting corners by bringing in a surreptitious and unpatriotic manner of bringing the CEO of AOE Events, Miss Nike Oshinowo to take over as the organiser of Miss centenary beauty pageant. The office also resorted to threatening the life of the young man who is the rightful owner of the centenary pageant. As we heard from a reliable source even Sen Anyim Pius Anyim shamelessly invited this young man to his office to tell him to go and stop whatever his doing till they finish their own event or should go and change his project name as if it isn’t public office they are occupying.

The body responsible for the regulation and management of the pageant industry in Nigeria,Association of Beauty Pageant Oganisers of Nigeria - ABPON has called on the President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan to come to right the wrong by asking the SGF not to use his office and Nigerians tax payers resources to satisfy  selfish interest.

The body - ABPON has also threatened to Cause serious embarrassment to the centenary project if their member who has suffered and spent his hard earned money on miss centenary is not allowed to organise his pageant. ABPON is also preparing to organise a nationwide protest against the injustice melted to their member by Sen Anyim Pius Anyim. The nationwide protest is slated to commence next week. This decision was reached at an emergence meeting of the body yesterday. The president of ABPON, Mr Barry Avotu Johnson has set a committee to follow the case and organise a nationwide protest that will register their grievances to Nigerians and the world. The committee is headed by ABPON's national secretary Comr Igwebuike Val Dialaeme.
