The pageant will see at least 60 beauty queens around the globe battle for the crown. Contestants, according to information from the organisers, include Miss Nigeria, Russia, Ghana, Brazil, Cameroon, Sweden, Canada, Germany, England, Italy, Namibia, Phillipines, Hungary, Scotland, Uganda, Venezuela, South Africa and many more.
Since its inception in 2008, the ‘Exquisite Face Of The Universe pageant’ has been held in Ghana and hosted by former Ghanaian President, His Excellency John Osei Kuffor but the organisers decided to make this year a unique one by selecting Nigeria as the host.
According to the Project Director Ethel Okosun, Nigeria was chosen because it is an ideal platform to boost the global appeal of the pageant, ‘It’s evident that Nigeria has grown in tremendous leaps and bounds, in all spheres, during the past few years. This makes it an ideal platform to enhance the global appeal of the Exquisite Face Of The Universe pageant which is a powerful tool in selling Nigeria effectively to both participating and non-participating countries around the world’.
The international beauty/modeling pageant aimed at showcasing the advancements of Africa’s Eco Tourism will see contestants undergo talent auditions, swimsuit contest, fashion show, charity ball among others leading up to the final selection.
Judges for the event, exact prizes to be won and those to perform are yet to be announced by the judges.
