Refugees who claim asylum on the grounds that they are homosexual should not have to undergo tests to prove it, the EU's top court has ruled. 

Three men, including a Ugandan and one from a Muslim country, failed to gain asylum when a Dutch court found they had not proved their sexuality.  

American mother, 37, is murdered by knife-wielding woman in a burqa at mall in Dubai

The 37-year-old kindergarten teacher, who has 11-year-old twin boys, was stabbed with a knife in the altercation in the ladies' toilets a supermarket in Boutik Mall on Reem Island in the United Arab Emirates capital. She was taken to be treated at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City but died later from her injuries in the incident on Monday afternoon. The victim has not been identified. Her initials are only known as ABR.

Ian Griffin, 45, said he began arguing about sex with girlfriend Kinga Legg, 36, at Bound restaurant in Paris before going back to the five-star Bristol hotel, where her body was later found floating in the bath. Griffin today told a French court that he remembers fighting with Ms Legg in the hotel room, including breaking furniture, but says he blacked out. When he woke up he found her lying on the floor and, not realising she was dead, put her in the bath to warm up before spending hours tidying the room, he claims.
