A man who was attacked on a busy Dublin street in broad daylight has lost his fight for life.

Taiwo Jamani (45) was struck with a baseball bat in Swords, Co Dublin, last month and died at 4am yesterday morning in Beaumount Hospital.
Gardai made an appeal for anyone with information to come forward this evening.
Last month, shoppers and passers-by looked on in horror during the incident in Swords, Co Dublin.
The street was closed to traffic as emergency crews worked to stabilise his condition.
Gardai preserved the scene for several hours while a forensic examination took place.
At the scene the victim's bloodstained clothing could be seen on the road, as well as medical swabs and a scissors used by the emergency crews to cut the clothing from the victim.
Gardai arrested Jooda Akanbi (37), from Swords, at the scene. Mr Akanbi, who is originally from Nigeria but has been living Swords for some years, was remanded in custody after he was charged with assault occasioning harm to Mr Jamani.
